Arise Les Mis survivor

This blog arises like the phoenix and not a match struck.

Having totally cocked up the transfer process of the old blog site, I start afresh. Just as well probably.

Last week I survived a performance of Les Miserables in London's Queens Theatre.

Ten tunes and less notes.

A great way to while away the time is to guess the rhyming couplets (not difficult) and say them before the singer gets to them. This may really pee off the person sat next to you, so beware.

As it happens the woman from St Albans who sat next to me had seen the show 11 times before. She seemed to be free of learning difficulties, so I do wonder why.

Clearly the key to being a great librettist is - you can never pitch it too low. Think Sun/Mail reader and you're there.
